...thousands of American workers purged by slumdogs in massive ethnic cleansing:

Some displaced employees who were shifted to other, lesser-paying jobs may not be counted as laid off, even if they didn't last with the company in their new roles.

That was the case for Dave Bolock, one of about 50 PwC employees told in January that their jobs in Tampa were being eliminated.

Bolock, an Oracle database administrator who worked 11 years for the company, initially stayed to train his replacement with Indian outsource firm Infosys.

"Our goal was to make the people from TCS (Tata Consulting) and Infosys look good," he said.

Now working on contract for CVS Caremark in Pittsburgh, Bolock figures about 20 of the 50 in his outsourced group took other IT positions within the company. "And all of those 20 will be gone with this round," he predicted. "Anything outside of management, they've been trying to find a way to send it to India."

PricewaterhouseCoopers wants to send jobs to India. It is a private company, not answerable to public. So it is not like their directors are cutting costs to boost next quarter's bottomline and thereby share price. By all indications, they know what they are doing. Company after American company is doing the same thing, whether public or private. The same guys who invent, innovate different products don't mind outsourcing a large part of their work to offshore locations. They also hire plenty of foreigners in USA. The all American immigrant Brin and all American native Page hire many foreigners in their Bay area office. Google's Bangalore office is a rocking, happening place that is on a hiring binge for so long.
So the people who can legitimately claim 'We invented...' are open minded folks with globalized outlook. Those who want to freeload on these inventors, the likes of James and Drifter, are bigoted fools. Since they have no power to fight the all powerful corporate types and allied interests, they vent their impotent anger on slumdogs, wipro, premji, tcs, infosys, upper caste hindus, mumbai, bangalore ...wow the list is long.

PwC? Wasn't that the slumdog-infested company in India whose execs were arrested because they falsified the audit of Satyam when it went down?

LOL.

Keep shifting work to India, Corporate America - and you'll continue to collapse. Just ask CountryWide.

We Americans, meanwhile will continue to create our own jobs out of thin air. We don't need another country to give us jobs to stay employed.

And it's nice to see the laid off American admit his job was to make the Tata Indiots "look good". After all, appearances and fakery are all they have. Where the rubber meets the road, they can't deliver.

Anyone want to start a betting pool on how long it will be before PwC goes under?

PwC and all corporations are answerable to the public: they are citizens like the rest of us and should not be allowed to not support the local citizens yet make use of their tax dollars (by using the infrastructure they paid for). This isn't India where anything goes, slumdog.

Americans pay taxes for defense and infrastructure which support U.S. corporations yet corporations are milking the American system only for their own selfish gains. No local jobs, no corporations. Even Thomas Jefferson warned us about the bankers and corporations. I guess you know more than he did, right?

By all indications, they have no idea what they are doing - just look at how the American taxpayers had to bailout all the companies that hired slumdogs and sent work to India. We had to cover for your incompetence. Without all the bailouts, all the companies the slumdogs worked for would be gone by now. Stop deluding yourselves. USA is in the biggest depression in 70 years - obviously corporations DON'T know what they are doing.

Apple closed their R&D center in India in 2006 and still hires mostly Americans. United, Dell, and Delta brough all their call centers back to USA last year. Don't lie and say "company after company". Companies are bailing out of India left and right.

Please name all these "innovations" you are talking about because outside of Apple, there have been none in the USA since you got here.

FYI, I co-invented the anti-spam software market in 1997 long before you slumdogs ever saw a keyboard. You people aren't inventing jack. Google's Bangalore office is just a token office to appease India and make it feel important.

Innovation has ground to a halt since globalization began - mainly because India has zero track record of innovating anything.

Keep dreaming, maderchod.

PricewaterhouseCoopers hasn't done anything illegal. It is not in you power to try and stop them. You can make a desperate effort to get the laws changed. In an election year, someone will throw you a bone of false hope, but don't count on it to work for you.
Any average Joe or jackass James can set up a company in America and choose to have all the employees overseas. Nobody can stop him or will be able to stop him in foreseeable future.
Majority of corporations, big, medium and small, are outsourcing, offshoring and hiring foreigners. Now you are trying to say they are all dumb and you are the only smart dude who has figured out this slumdog thingy. You have to sell this theory in your dreams, then only you will find buyers.
If apple, dell and united have already come back to US and much more work is 'flooding back' (your own words), why are you and the likes of you still sounding like curmudgeons? Why are TATA parasites still 'raping' PricewaterhouseCoopers? On one hand, you cry and moan about being 'raped' by slumdog invasion. Then suddenly you change tune and start singing about the imminent demise of slumdog industry and how they are the ones who are running scared. I have been seeing this stupidity on part of net warriors for more than a decade. keep screaming!
And what was that bombastic claim about multi-million dollar anti-spam whatever? Oh, that spam must be some kind of canned meat .

India's $35 tablets is not a Joke. It real and working. Look in few years time, many of the schools around the world will be having these tablets or modelled on these tablets. www.techtree.com/.../551-112557-893.html

Many of the R&D outsourcing to India has already begun and India already has  R&D MoUs with UK. Look at this info:
....Indeed, funding pledged by the UK bodies for collaboration with India this year has already approached 1 per cent of its science budget, a level that some argue should be the budget set aside for international collaboration, Mr. Willetts said...

India's research skills are huge in days before invasion by Muslims and British. They concentrated on Astronomy, maths, medicine(ayurveda) etc. They lost their pride for short interval at the hands of the imperialists. Now they will be slowly coming back for sure in R&D and its of course takes sometime. British know their talents and are tightening the R&D collaborations.

Apple isn't outsourcing - at least not R&D - and Apple is the biggest success story in the American economy right now. That should tell you something.

Sure lots of American companies are outsourcing. And look what is happening to the U.S. and world economy. Recession, recession, recession, all at the hands of India, Inc. Way to go, Indiots.

But a lot of American companies aren't outsourcing or offshoring. They've been burned by the incompetence of India, Inc. too many times. Just ask Dell, Delta, and United just to name a few.

PwC hasn't done anything illegal? Think again, maderchod:

www.groundreport.com/.../2882294

A 2008 UN/ILO study ranked India's workers 54th in world productivity - behind most African countries, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Mexico. It's not me who is saying you are stupid, it's the whole world. Why would anyone want to hire such unproductive workers when Americans are #1 in productivity. Sorry but facts just don't fit with your propaganda.

UK's economy is going into the toilet too. So is Dubai's. Any country which sends work to India or hires Indiots goes into the crapper. In 1998 American workers had the U.S. economy booming out of control. How can you possibly say we are stupid and you are smarter than we are? It's been 12 years and you people haven't invented jack. How long are we supposed to wait to see something come out of India? Another 5000 years?

Childish arguments won't take you too far, James. Keep on beating the drum about how US is much ahead in terms of innovation compared to dirt poor countries like India. Except for some deluded slumdogs, nobody in his/her right mind would claim that India as a whole can compete with US or even come close to it. It is kind of dumb to repeat the same point again and again.
What smart people in USA, who by the way rule much of the corporate world, have found out that of the billions of people living living in the non-US world, there are several hundred thousands, may be a few millions, who are much smarter compared to dummies like James.
It is totally stupid to say that everything was well in USA before 1998 and things completely went downhill after that because of H1-B visa. If that was the case, there are enough smart, patriotic people in USA who would have identified the problem and corrected it. As it stands, this so called anti-slumdog crusade is confined to few jackasses opting in the shadows of usenet and blogosphere. The only positive thing about them are that they are an amusing bunch. BigR,

"It is totally stupid to say that everything was well in USA before 1998 and things completely went downhill after that because of H1-B visa."

Why is it stupid to say that? It's a fact. In 1998 the U.S. economy had just experienced its biggest expansion in U.S. history. Everyone was employed, nearly everyone could afford to buy a house. Many people were paying cash for cars. In fact, it was this phenomenal boom which attracted all the Indiots to begin with.

Due to NASSCOM/India, Inc. lobbying, the visa caps were raised in Oct 1998 and April 2000, flooding the U.S. with millions and millions of Indiots. The U.S. economy collapsed in both 2001 and 2008.

Given that as many Indian posters here admitted, India, Inc. has taken over much of the corporate sector jobs, and the fact that the economy was booming out of control BEFORE THEY GOT HERE, then logic dictatates that they are the cause.

The 2008 UN/ILO report ranking India's workers as 54th in world productivity only confirms this.

Multiple independent corporate sources who expose that the Indian bodyshops damage or destroy the companies they touch is only further proof. Just ask World Bank, Bell Labs, Sun, PeopleSoft, Microsoft, AIG, Lehman, Reader's Digest, ComAir, Boeing, Intel, and MIT - all of whom have had documented, severe problems with Indian workers.

You can't deny history or change it: the U.S. economy was in terrific shape before you got here. Now that you've taken over, the U.S. economy is in really bad shape.

Those are the historical facts, and you can't change them.

The funny part about this is all the garbage code that will be running that company from now on.  Over time, they will destroy themselves.  Let em' gag.

Used to work at a warehouse with about 400 illegals; got to see them steal 80k/year from my company and lose at least another 100k in mistakes and we were small change; bigger vendors lost 10 times as much respectively.  I tried to explain to their managers how the systems were borked, so did their sysadmins.  Nobody in accounting wanted to listen despite us pointing out the exact orders and items and how it was done.  Hell, they went down for 2 weeks to rebuild their database when it blew up and had no backups; utter incompetence.  You see they don't reduce the price of the end product and they don't do this to stay compeditive; they do it to fluff their paycheck and it's complete utter suicide but the effects are down the road so they don't care.

Wait for the data breach stories to start coming out of pricewatercoopers and their clients bank accounts get drained; they're an accounting firm FFS.  Phone calls to previous employee's won't go well, and competing companies and startups will hire these guys looking to capitalize on their failure.

For a moment, let's say things went downhill beginning 1998. But blaming it on H1B is as credible as blaming it on AFC win in 1998 superbowl after several years of victories by NFC teams. Sounds stupid? Well, so does the blame H1-B game. You can as well blame John Elway and Mike Shannahan for your misery.

Who are these 'Multiple independent corporate sources' that have blamed bodyshops for all the miseries? Are you reading too much of Norman Meatloaf gobbledygook? Or is it the crackpot theorist Paul Craig Roberts? How many credible documents state the 'severe problems' with Indians in particular? Do you mean to say Satyam like fraudulent companies are never to be found in USA?

Even before H1-B was invented (another invention by mighty Americans: H1B visa!), there was savings and loans crisis and Orange County default. I can name several such episodes. Who were to blame for this? Only a deluded dummy can say that H1-Bs caused dot com bubble burst, recession of 2001, financial crisis of 2007-2008, bankruptcy of Enron etc. No doubt you guys are not taken seriously by anyone and relegated to some dark corner of blogosphere.

"Rocky:

Oh really? How do you figue that logic? SUperbowl players didn't replace American programmers, Indians did. The IT industry was the engine driving the 90s boom. All the American workers who created that boom have been replaced by Indians who are obviously incompetent because they have eebn unable to produce a similar boom. The massive, millions of persons flood from India is the cause. I'm not making random, unrelated claims here. These people now WORK in the industry and are NOT creating a boom. Cause->effect.

"Who are these 'Multiple independent corporate sources' that have blamed bodyshops for all the miseries? Are you reading too much of Norman Meatloaf gobbledygook? Or is it the crackpot theorist Paul Craig Roberts? How many credible documents state the 'severe problems' with Indians in particular?"

The multiple independt corporate sources and their failures with India are all over the news. I know because I've done the research myself for a book I am writing and I lived and worked in many of these companies myself in Silicon Valley for close to 2 decades. I think I know from experience what I am talking about

"Even before H1-B was invented (another invention by mighty Americans: H1B visa!), there was savings and loans crisis and Orange County default. I can name several such episodes. Who were to blame for this?"

The savings an loan crisis was big but it didn't affect the economy in such a huge way as invasion has. The 80s and 90s both saw almost 2 decade of uninterrupted grow. And H-1B was started by U.S. corproations and NASSCOM, not American workers.

"Only a deluded dummy can say that H1-Bs caused dot com bubble burst, recession of 2001, financial crisis of 2007-2008, bankruptcy of Enron etc. No doubt you guys are not taken seriously by anyone and relegated to some dark corner of blogosphere."

I never said it caused the .com bust. I said it casued economic collapse which it has. The one simple fact that cannot be denied is that the economy was BOOMING before millions of you came here to take jobs. If you were performing as well or better than the American workers were, the economy would be booming again. And since you are the ones with all the jobs and Americans are unemployed, we have to blame you. You didn't perform as promised. Normally that means you get FIRED.

"But this is election year and even dark corners get few moments of sunshine. So you got the bone of increased H1-B visa fees. Make hay while the sun shines, because darkness is about to resume its sway! Chuck Schumer has already started issuing clarifications on his 'chop shop' remarks! I can assure you the anti-Indian mood is a lot more than just a few nutjob bloggers. Millions of Americans know the story and are fed up with you losers boasting 24/7 while the econ keeps going down the drain more and more with you at the helm. We're going to see total ousting of all incumbents this election and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

just a note to the people who may read this who believe H1B visas caused the world economy to collapse: I don't think you got all the facts.
part of the economic collapse happened naturally when the international investors in the US Stock Market all pulled out when they found out what crooks we are.  (yes, that's part of why Obama tried to get wallsteet regulations beefed up, to try to roll out the red carpet to our foreign investors again).

Corporations try to save money just like us.

Corporations try to get the best employees, we'd do the same.

Corporations are responsible for the redistribution of wealth accross the globe, taking our money for the products and services they provide and paying it to the best employees, and the rest of us get paid dirt because that's what we're worth compared to the people who went to Stanford or places like that.

And here's the problem: if we still taxed the rich and the people who hold property in the US, we wouldn't have an economic crisis, but the people who have all the money have gotten better at holding onto it, so the governments around the world are allowing them to keep it, and will ask us, the working class to shoulder the problem by lowering our standard of living.

Just look at the Austerity programs being mandated to countries in Europe by their central bank!

the Corporation isn't doing anything bad, except lowering the standard of living for everyone on the planet who didn't go to private school.  Tell your congress to stop the corporation from raping the planet, like Monsanto and what's that water company that caused all the deaths in South America?

Corporations have been given too much autonomy and not enough over-sight, until we can hang someone when they break the law they should not be allowed so much power.\

I lived through every recession in America during the past forty years, have had my wage increases held ransom so many times I;ll never catch up, but i know the people who finished college don't have that problem.

I've been trampled, but I don't have ill will towards India.  We didn't complain when our corporations set up shop in poor countries where they were too stupid to complain or negotiate, why are we upset with India, just because they have more honor's students than we have kids in America?  (they got a lot of people)

We should mitigate the behaviour of corporations to prevent people from being hurt around the world, not just to protect American workers, but otherwise we'll live in a Corporate run world, where the governments are just window dressing like the Queen of England - who wants the corporations to have all the power?  who wants to live their lives like that?  I don't
