I've got some catching up to do, and then I'll blog about my appearance before the Federal Grand Jury in Richmond.

I can say one thing -- HCL, the notorious Indian outsourcing company run by a fat fuck bigot Vineet Nayar, is now going to be looked very closely by the authorities in Virginia.

I'm just glad you're ok.  The suspense was killing me.  The red flag was the agent saying that he couldn't talk to you because you had a lawyer.  Everybody has a lawyer for something.  The question is whether you're represented in that particular case.  Evidently the agent didn't know what he was talking about if he said he couldn't talk to you because you had a lawyer in a civil suit.

Obama has got a new jobs bill - is there anything for the US techie or does he/she still get the shaft from firms like HCL ? Any increase in H1-B or faster green cards for the existing ones here ?

It's funny how when the government talks about "jobs" they mean "jobs," and not necessarily jobs for U.S. workers.  As long as they can truthfully (I won't say honestly) say that they "created" x number of "jobs," then they made their political hay from the deal, and it doesn't matter to them whether more "jobs" actually makes a dime's worth of difference in the number of unemployed citizens.  That's the kind of political double-speak that good old George Orwell warned us about.
